Theoretically,it maybe possible to revert from insulin but it is quite rare.Expect to have insulin shots for life.Personally,I feel that insulin is preferable because of absence of any side effects. On the other hand, oral medications have some effects on the long run.

There are many reports about the usefulness of apple cider for diabetics. But these things do not work uniformly for all people.Only way to find out is by trying it yourself.Atleast,it will not cause any harm.About insulin,do not have any apprehensions.Just follow the doctor's advise.

Your doctor has prescribed insulin therapy because you are unable to control blood sugar by antiglycemic medication. HbA1c level 10.7% is very high. After controlling your blood sugar to a normal level, you can return to antiglycemic medications or to reduce insulin dosage if so desired. Please note that insulin has no side effects.

Over time, people who have diabetes and high blood sugar can develop serious or life-threatening complications, including heart disease, stroke, kidney problems, nerve damage, and eye problems.

Taking medication(s), making lifestyle changes (e.g., diet, exercise, quitting smoking), and regularly checking your blood sugar may help to manage your diabetes and improve your health. This therapy may also decrease your chances of having a heart attack, stroke, or other diabetes-related complications such as kidney failure, nerve damage (numb, cold legs or feet; decreased sexual ability in men and women), eye problems, including changes or loss of vision, or gum disease. Your doctor and other healthcare providers will talk to you about the best way to manage your diabetes.

Diabetic patients under 30 years of age are generally considered under type 1 diabetes. You may undergo Insulin C Peptide test to ascertain the quantum of insulin produced in the body.
