I am 32 and I do exercises, running and ride a bike. I eat anything, but in small sizes. I am satisfied up to mow. My daily FBS around 80 to 100.

Good, but keep monitoring and get HbA1c test done to ensure that you are absolutely in safe limits.

dont confuse yourself with a onetime assessment of sugar by the lab.

it needs to be consistently above normal in an accredited lab.

as of now your results are too good and keep it up

for normal person bs will not go beyond 140 any time. after 1 hour your bs was 180. though you are not diabetic one day you will become diabetic if you don' take precaution. its good your are doing exercise, but don't over strain yourself. maintain healthy diet. keep monitoring your bs often. as many members on this forum suggested check HBA1c for every three months.

Most of the esteemed members comments are all right. The main culprit is faulty diet and lack of excercise .Of course Jenson Fung intermittent fasting is o.k.and has to be followed.

Dear fahimh and nadir69, if your HbA1c were over 11% and fbs were over 200, yes you were absolutely diabetic, but i wonder how could you lower those numbers to non diabetic by just exercising, why don't you share your workout regimen with us?

I am 56 years old and I am diabetc from last 15 years. I did take meformin 850 mg 3 times a day and glyberide 5 mg twice daily until last 8 months. My a1c wa7.4 and one time was 12. Pbs 120 to 140 and pp 230. I was craving for food and used to eat every 3 and half hours. I am vegeterian so my food mainly consisted of rice and wheat preparation plus dal, vegetable and yogurt. Since 8 months i cut down on rice, wheat, potatos and starchy vegetables. As well as reduced amount of dal. Eat only 2 to 3 times a day. No snakes. This resulted in a1c level between 6.2 to 6.7, pbs 110 to 130 and pp 150 to 185. My blood creatinine 1-1.5, gfr 50 to more than 60 indicating it has started affecting my kidney. It has affected my right eye little bit. Blured vision. Once in a while feel tingling in my leg fingers. My understanding is my tiny blood vessels at peripery of my body is narrowing year by year reducing blood flow and causing these issue.

I am still struggling to reverse my conditions from last 8 months. Somehow could able to bring my a1c to 6.2 by eating only twice daily and reduced carb. However, it is a struggle. Seeing high carb food everywhere in my home and work temps to eat them. In my house and my work with whom I sit and talk eat high carb and junk food. So I feel punished every day. Difficult to remain motivated when surrounded by negetive atmosphere.

Eventhough i have improved a lot in last 8 months I still have many confusions and questions. I have almost quit taking metformin and no more glyberide. My weight 62 kg and I am 5.5 with bmi around 24. My weight is not going down anymore indicating i still have higher circulating insulin in blood. I want to reduce weight another 5 to 8 kg so that I can bring my bmi around 20. Not motivated to exercise separately but at least 9 hours in a day doing standing job moving body parts.

I am still confused what exactly to eat for breakfast lunch and dinner to keep carb between 25 to 40 gm a day limit. My stomach is sensitive and does not tolerate many raw foods. I am vegetarian but sometimes take egg but no other animal products. Almost left diary except littlebit cheese and yogurt once in a while. My doctor discourage to do keto diet mainly because it is not included in their standard protocol. Eventhough they have prescribed me statin for high cholestel metfomin to increase insulin sensitivity, gleberide to increase insulin secretion and bp medication I almost left them. Diet does better job than medicine. My bp came down from 150 to 120.

Appreciate if you all help me to keep motivated and share some meal plans.

Thanks
