When 1 month old numbers during regular body checkup were 139 &240.. I have managed to control my numbers by shedding my weight and changing diet.(I am now overweight by 10 kgs with max fat on abdomen area). My average fasting now is 110 and pp is between 110-140. (No allopathic meds). My diet includes 2 rotis in whole day, buttermilk /curd once, lots of veggies, daals, egg whites, cooked sprouts, detox drinks, papaya, soups, jamun. However I am little bored with what I eat. Can we include millets in our diet ?like millet idli /dosa(of course w/o rice) What else can I eat so that there is variety except roti ?how's brown rice once a while ?
Thanks

In the morning I will take tea and boiled oats one cup each with milk or milk powder Then I will eat 2 rice dosas. I also like multi-grain dosas. I consume one cup of boiled brown rice at noon daily. I also eat several curries with lot of vegetables. At night I will eat 2 chappatis with fish curry + one cup of boiled oats. I will eat one pomegranate + two bananas (having red colour).
Still my FBS is < 100 mg/dL and PPBS < 140 mg/dL. (I have got 26 years of diabetic history with no complications) Insulin: 10 units in the morning & 8 units at night)
Please do not follow my meal planning as it is not a model for others.
@shailajaa.....you are doing well... for change of food items you may try bason roti, wheat+ bason roti, cauliflower rice, broken wheat Dalia in small quantities, etc
