Use of Awla in diabetes..

Is Vaidyanath chavanprash (sugarfree),-Chavanfit, good for diabetes.?...They claim it contains Awala,Ashwagandha etc and it boosts immunity. Also, they claim it is an antioxidant. Users may pealse give their experience. Even raw awla may also be good.

These things can be answered by Baba Ramdev kind of people. Ayurved although has many good effects we are really not sure whether any proper research has been done on the effect of Chavanprash on Diabetes .Search internet if any information available .

If Chyavanprash is not prepared as per the recipe given in scriptures...it is not effective....

There are certain herbs which are described in Ayurvedic scriptures in preparation of 'Real Chyavanprash' are not available due to extinction...so u cannot use them...

However, 'Amala' is good source of vitamin 'C' also known to balance all three kapha/vata/and pitta.

Most of the diabetics use fenugreek seeds...in order to balance side effects of fenugreek seeds simple 'Amala' churna in hot water is beneficial...

Try cinnamon powder also. They say it helps in diabetes.
