One more positive feedback on LWMDR - Diabetes India
One more positive feedback on LWMDR
Very positive feedback. Good. LWMDR is helping him reduce his medication within 10 days. Happy for him
Please elaborate!
sir can u help me out to cure this disease...i have ordered emmer wheat ...suggest me how to eat them?
@ naresh ksk,
For specific details read
either my blogs here
or my Web article at the appropedia site.
A thumb rule is: swap starchy part of breakfast and supper cooked in any form that suit your needs. I took it as mash only. Continue present medication till your physician reduce those. Avoid tubers and all sweet items temporarily. Continue lunch as it is.
Report blood test results periodically for evaluation & fine tuning.
Ask if in doubt.
@ nareshksk,
Please publish present 8-14 HR FBS, 2HR PPBS, HbA1C, Fastiing Serum Insulin, Triglycerides and HDL Cholesterol to assess current status.
Thank you @sundarchaitanya.
At grocery stores @ Gowardhan.
Thank you very much for the statement @ gphilip. This will be encouragement for other patients to try and follow LWMDR.
Please consider publishing Blood Sugar values from starting LWMDR.
@ vyasbkn,
Thank you. Your BMIs are 20.99 to 22.4 These are goodas far as I know. How much was your weight 72 days before?
If yoy want to increase weight, increase LW intake, fat/oil intake and do some mild muscle building exercises at home.
Sorry @ vyasbkn that I don't entertain personal communication with strangers.
Your diet plan seems to be fine. Get well soon.
what about gluten intolerance .People with celiac disease and diabetes type 1 , in some cases even of Diabetes type 2 are advised to stay away from wheat , rye and barley . Does long wheat is an exception to this . Gluten is found to be one of the contributing factors for diabetes . My question is to the specialists in the field of nutrition , though many followers of lwmdr are giving very favourable reports .Yesterday I got a patient who raised this question . He is advised by the doctors to take alternative grains like Buckwheat ,corn , millets ,pure oats ,Quinoa ,rice , potato , tapioka , for carbs . I was just shocked .

Hmmm what to tell about main stream practitioners??? They are unable to understand that diabetes is problem of carbs assimilation. And when body can not assimilate carbs its better to stay away from carbs.
However, from my personal experience long wheat is very good option for diabetes.
You have chapatti made of long wheat and check o your meter....long wheat spike less.
I don't have any answer and asked him to come on Sunday .As far as I am concerned , I just take whatever I had been taking all these years . Sometimes it goes up to 140 , 150 or 180 or 190, some times it is 130 .It is very strange and erratic .But I observed ,it happens when ever I experiment the medicines on me when the patient is too young or too old , since they may not be able to give the exact conditions after the medicine is taken , especially snake poisons or metals ,and I am not going to loose ANY thing .I am prepared to go any time when the call comes .I know it would be branded as sheer madness , but nothing happened drastically for the past 25 years since I started this experiment.By this result it self I could conclude that there is some 'x ' factor in the manifestation of diabetes and it is not exclusive or conclusive proof of diet ,whether of carbs or fats or fruits. I am planning to go for food of fruits only and want to see whether fructose has any bearing on liver fat , visceral or ingested fat as suggested by one school of thought.
I take insulin homeopathic preparation in 6c , Pancreatinum in 3c , twice in a day and a combination of Gingkobiloba , Brahmi ,Ashwagandha ,Avenasathiva ,Alovera ----all in mother tinctures in 3 to 5 drop doses , before going to bed .So far there is no adverse effect but I am not quite sure whether it suits all people .Just as the finger prints of no two people match , the herbal medicines may not suit all people with the same conditions in the same efficacy. Homeopathy is highly individualistic and holistic .I don't take any modern allopathic medicine .
Coming from a conservative , middle class brahmin family , I don't have any habits of drinking , smoking , eating out , non veg food , late night parties , which I always tell my patients to avoid . I don't even take eggs cakes, pastries , bakery products. So what could be the triggering factor except the experiment . I don't know . But even assuming that it is a proven case of diabetes , the readings are not the same always , with out any changes in food or life style .Of course my mother had DIABETES .i GAVE MEDICINES TO MY mother and never had taken the readings , no changes in diet .
"Individualistic and wholistic"!!! Great presentation!!! Fantastic observation as well.
Great venture @saswathy. Wish you all the best.
But why modern research does not have an explanation and answer to the problem of carb assimilation. After hundreds of years of carb intake how it failed .chemicals and pesticides used in the growing , harvesting , processing and storing is the problem .But that is the case with any produce .That way no food grains are safe . Even oats which are recommended for diabetics are not that safe.

there is very good explanation by suramo at following thread..
healthunlocked.com/diabetes...
there is no one cause.....various factors land us here....
That's true, @saswathy.
AFAIK LW is low in gluten.
What is '' AFAIK ' LW?
As Far As I Know - Long Wheat
Thank you very much . Shall I tell him to take long wheat.Any way I told him that I would give some medicines to him ,which would be based on his constitution .The more info I am coming across in the net , the more confusion is taking place . When I searched the net ,I came across the info that wheat has got gluten which is harmful to a diabetic patient. So what he gathered is correct . But the followers of '' LWMDR '' are vouchsafing that it is giving miraculous results .
" Shall I tell him to take long wheat."
Difficult to say.
" But the followers of '' LWMDR '' are vouchsafing that it is giving miraculous results"
Some are continuing with LW and have consistent results. But some have discontinued also. I am one of them and on grainfree diet. .
I understand from your posts that you are on lchf diet .
Yes. veg LCHF.
shrisamarth What is the quantity of protein in your diet? And its sources?
Difficult to tell exact quantity but could be in between 30-40gm . Sources are legumes, paneer, hung curd etc.
No nuts?
Which legumes? Moog, matki?
Almonds, lot of peanuts, moong, matki, chavli .....
Sprouted legumes?
@saswathy,
If I may say, in my opinion if he do not report any allergic reaction he can continue. But if you ask to watch, will any psychosomatic effect come into play?
Now another important point that popped up just now!!
Why not apply the homoeo principle similia ... ... on gluten?
Hidden ,
since the question is specifically directed to nutrition experts, I was about to be quiet. But the names rice, potato, tapioka, oats, corn etc seems to be part of a deliberate attempt to dissuade diabetics from getting controlled and finally cured.
Do the patient have any allergic reaction due toLong Wheat intake?
ShooterGeorge ,
Since he didn't get a convincing answer for his question ,he came to me . I said homeopathy goes by symptoms and we do not go by the explanations given by them which sometimes appear to be weird .Then again , they coolly go back on their own explanations many times . For nearly 45 years they fought against fats saying they are the cause of all diseases .Now they are going all for the fats ,saying they are panacea for everything ,of course adding a certificate --- good fats . Ghee was said to be very good for heart and brain in the olden days . They deprived that to the people of nearly 3 generations scaring the people with heart attacks ,cholesterol ,and strokes etc .Any way I told this gentleman to try long wheat , as the followers of LWMDR are saying chapathies with long wheat turn out to be nice and soft .
