Sugar Levels- Who decides the ranges?

The ranges of normal BS for Fasting, PP and Random look arbitrary. Also, there is something called 'Impaired Glucose Tolerance Level' before actual Diabetes? Can someone explain these?

I agree. The drug lords for their benefit. It depends on race /place/people eating habbits

Today Drug industry is purely depends upon "diabetes & hypertension"which are not all diseases indeed.both diabetes & hypertension ,are the imbalance in energy,according to five elements concept.

If any one is genuinely interested to know the limits NATURE has set, testing the BS of a few non-diabetic persons will do.
