Fruits in small quantities are a must in the staple daily diet of all diabetics. If you are chronic diabetic avoid fruits with high sugar like Banana, sapota (chiku), custard apple (sitaphal). Pinapple etc. Have an orange or apple and even sweet lime. You may even eat seasonal fruits like jack fruits in strict moderation.I Keep a watch on my Hba1c once in three months, which helps.

you should take guava, apple, papaya, orange , peach, musk melon means you can take high fibre fruits and citrus fruit and you should avoid high GI fruit like mango , banana, sapota, custard fruit, grapes , lichi.
Even high GI fruits can be taken in very small quantity, like banana, mango, sapota, grapes. Load shud never be heavy, light qty.

We should not copy western diets. Indian fruits like Apple Papaya pineapple melon watermelon mango are good but portion control is important when you area diabetic. Test your sugars before and after to arrive at quantities to be consumed. When having high sugars avoid all fruit.
