Many vegetarian south indians have done following lchf diet.
You can check all meals (more than 140 now -- majority being vegetarian) on dlife.in and do mix and match to create your own weekly menu.
As long as you eat high carb low fat diet, you will need lot of drugs.
Any diet consisting of rice, dosa, idly etc. is bad as it converts to sugar fast. Reduce their quantity to one-third to begin with. Use whole grain wheat, Bajra, Dal, Vegetables, Legumes.
Madam please follow Meetu77. Before you decide, please check LWMDR, which is available in this forum. Also click on SHOOTER GEORGE and see for LWMDR. I had similar readings like you and now my blood sugar readings are very well under control by following LWMDR for the last ten days. It's my experience and many in this forum. But decision is yours. You can choose, whichever u r comfortable with. All the best.
In yoga, in the morning you need to do 5 minutes each Bhastrika, kapal Bhati, Anulom-Vilom Pranayam with makarasaan in the morning and 10 minutes walking in the evening.
LCHF with required amount of calories will be helpful. Take 5 - 8 "Paneer ke phool" dipped/soaked in quarter glass of water over night and drink on empty stomach in the morning after getting up.
Totally avoid rice, potatoes and sugarin any form. Also, starch in the form of Sagoo to be avoided. Eating limited food possibly as suggested by dietician to control calorific required quantity.
Instead of rice try varagu rice or bajra(kambu), other items of south Indian meal no change. The main problem is the rice the sugar reaches the blood very fast, since high glycaemic index.
@arun., 30min kapalbhati will conk ordinary people. more so diabetics should avoid kapalbhati and bhastrika. anulom vinulom is ok. bcos the rapid breathing damages the protective sheath on body., which diabetics need.
healthy individuals can do.
diabetics can start with 5min and slowly build up duration of time checking how they feel after pranayam without overdoing. a rapid pranayam damages nervous system.
