Hi friends is there any medicine other than insulin for type 1 diabetes? I clearly want to know the root cause for type 1 diabetes?

Thank you so much. as we all know if there is any damage/rupture to certain cells or tissues in our body, the cells die and new set of cells regenerate. Is there any way to stimulate islet cells, so that again it can produce Beta cells that produce insulin!
