Yes a medium sized orange can be eaten in one go. It has around 15 gms of carbs which is normal 1 serving. It is actually very beneficial as it contains all the minerals and good amount of Vit. C.

yes, Ty! After lot of google search, I also found the same. medium sized orange would be abt 15gms. I think it should not be eaten with a good meal, which has some rice in it. Perhaps, with other snacks it is fine. Orange of course is one of the richest fruits in nutritional value. ty!

Have read abt that research of more fat diet for diabetics. In the context of diabetes, this combo wud be very good. Fat over a long term cannot be good for the cardiovascular system. Fried, cheesy, red meat are proven bad for the arteries and heart. Proven! From the sugar perspective, this combo is better. Get killed by a cardiovascular disease rather than having complications of diabetes and die a painful death. It is always hard to say, one particular diet is the best for diab.

An orange or an apple - Medium size has around 60 Calories and CH with in limits. Both have Vitamins and these two are meant for DM patients if you want to eat fruits. I was given to understand these two have yet another content to neutralise the sugar or CH introduced by them. But you are expected to eat nothing for TWO hours before and after meal or any addition of calorie. To have positive effect you practice 15 to 25 minutes walking with in this four hours.or at least some activity or eat when you plan your walking. No food or snaking required. This itself is energitic . I practice the above.

Best wishes

yeah, found out thru' google, it is the pectin in both the fruits, orange and apple. half of apple is what they suggest, if the size is lil bigger. I used to take these fruits after the meal, but I reckon it shud be taken as a snack in between the 3 small meals. small amts of fruits are a must for diabetics and good health.

yes, in between is fine, one complete orange. I eat small amt of rice in the night, so ideally not advisable to eat orange with rice.

yes, hv heard of that. 10-14 portions max of 10gm each portion. what is the max amt of rice one can eat in one meal? even tho rice is not suggest to diabetics at all.

ty! U talk so much abt curd. Curd rice of abt 3 tablespoon shud be ok then, as long as metformin is taken with it.
