i am diabitic since more than 10years ... my 3month average is coming high almost 8 . what do you advice

HbA1c of 8 is on higher side.Try to bring it down below 7 and close to 6

Please consider the following suggestions.

Management of sugar levels is a tough job but is not impossible if you realize that the task is essentially in your own hands. The doctor or dietician may guide you but ultimately it is you who has to put into practice all that has been learnt. Diet control makes maximum difference in a diabetic condition. Avoid sugar,sweets,and any food that is loaded with sugars like mango,banana etc. Also avoid vegetables like potato,beet, etc that grow underground and contain plenty of starch. Eat more of sprouts,vegetables and greens that give you fiber,minerals and vitamins. Eat less of rice,wheat and other cereals rich in carbohydrates and demand more insulin for converting to energy. The idea should be to reduce consumption by least 200 to 300 calories per day to gain significant results.

After diet,exercise plays a very important role. Last but not the least one should lead a stress free life style. Stress is a recognized trigger for diabetes. Practice relaxation techniques like breathing exercises,yoga etc.

You should go for quarterly check ups and annual comprehensive review with an experienced diabetologist and follow the prescriptions scrupulously

Thanks , for valuable advice ,, all what u suggested is doing , only walking is not happening ... which is biggest task ...

Walking a mile a day will consume about 100 calories.One pound of our body weight is equivalant to 3500 calories.Please calculate what it can do over a period of six months or so.

Please look for cause like OSA rather than just fighting your life for unknow reason .Your aim to keep BMI less than 23

Hi kamanidk,

HbA1c 8 is high & risky. You are nearing vital organ damage stage. I was diabetic in 2006; but not now. I followed the Long Wheat Mash Diet Regimen (LWMDR) and got my diabetes cured by 2009.

In LWMDR walking is NOT a requirement. I managed the whole cure with comfortable diet.

Can you tell your medication & food intake pattern in full detail to find out the reason why your HbA1c goes high. You must be eating/drinking some things which are not suitable to diabetic patients, I suppose. Once you know the mistake, rectification is simple.
