numb feelings where? foot? legs? hands? You should undergo hot and cold tests at a diabetes hospital.

Sir, If you are still having problem please contact Kamayani Naresh at kamayaninaresh@yahoo.com

I am 62 yrs male w/type2 diabetees since 12 yrs with 120/2450 on an average. I take insuline 26/16 <B/F n <B/Diner. Avoid eatting any sweet food. I urinate around 8~10 times in 24hrs.

I feel numbness in both my feet, which includes swelling also sometimes only on my feet (not abv my feet or on limbs or thighs). My hands specially left hand (from shoulder to risks) also has somewhat like a tinging effect sometimes, especially when my hands are kept raised abv my head for sometime, while sleeping, but it vanishes when I lower my hands down and keep it at my sides while sleeping otherwise during the day its OK. I think the blood flow is reduced when my left hand is raised/kept abv my face position. Pls kindly help

Age 62 means slightly weaker blood vessels. Diabetes makes it further weaker. Weak blood can not shrink properly and push back blood to heart. Only if it reach heart, it can be pumped to lungs to remove carbon dioxide and add oxygen. Unless you keep your blood sugar within 70-140 mg/dl almost always, cells will not work properly. If cells do not work properly ALL part of body will become weak - blood vessels, kidney, heart, brain and of-course SEX.

The text below is a "COPY&PASTE STUFF" from my previous replies to some others.

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SEEN IT, KINDLY IGNORE THIS.

People who are & could not CURE diabetes will & can only say that it can NOT be CURED.

But people who are CURED can not say so. They will say DIABETES IS CURED, BECAUSE IT IS THEIR OWN EXPERIENCE.

I am cured of diabetes Type II & so I keep saying that AT LEAST TYPE II DIABETES IS CURABLE.

It is up to the patients to decide whom to believe & follow. If one follow a wrong path one will reach only a wrong destination.

Those who do not want cure can believe those who are not cured & those who can not cure.

I can only tell. I cannot make them do what did.

There is a proverb "THE JOCKEY CAN ONLY TAKE THE HORSE TO A STREAM" which means that THE PROCESS OF DRINKING WATER TO QUENCH THE THIRST IS TO BE DONE BY THE HORSE ONLY; jockey is helpless in that.

Diabetic foor also causes numbness in foot. Some people may not feel heat and some chill. The diabetic foot is determined by the hot and cold test of foot, besides, the pressure exerted by your foot at various areas of the foot and this is also noted and recorded by the diabetologist and these spots are identified to know the extent of damage and methods of corrections are decided there upon. If you know some diabetologist or diabetes hospital they will explain you on this subject.
