I am controlling the sugar with insulin. Is there any new invention to know the latest blood sugar level without pain?

I have read a report that lot of experimentation is going on oral insulin,but nothing concrete can be expected in near future.I also read some drugs which are very effective but with unacceptable side effects are also under testing.Nothing radical,for the time being,I think.

Insulin pump will display the blood glucose level at real time. But it will cost Rs.3,00,000/- in India. It will also cost Rs.5000/- per month for the purchase of consumables.
