Dibetes and alcohol

I am a diabetic for the past 25 years under INSULIN.My fasting sugar is not coming down from 200 and PPBS from275-300.

Is this due to my habit of drinking alcohol thrice in a week moderately.

Pl suggest how much of a drink is OK.

Nitin said it right I feel, I am having BS since March 2012. My BS level once shoot up to 233, With proper medicines and exercise it got reduced and for last one year, it is always 100-102 fasting and PP 140-144. I take whisky 2-3 large pegs almost every day. I don't know what can be the side effect later. But I enjoy it now and there is no problem for last one year. This is only my personal opinion..Take care.
