HBsAg is the surface antigen of the hepatitis B virus (HBV). It indicates current hepatitis B infection.

HbA1c is a lab test that shows the average level of blood sugar (glucose) over the previous 3 months. It shows how well you are controlling your diabetes. As the average amount of plasma glucose increases, the fraction of glycated hemoglobin increases in a predictable way. This serves as a marker for average blood glucose levels over the previous months prior to the measurement.

Fasting plasma glucose (FPG), a blood test for diabetes.

WHO criteria: fasting plasma glucose level from 6.1 mmol/l (110 mg/dL) to 6.9 mmol/l (125 mg/dL).

ADA criteria: fasting plasma glucose level from 5.6 mmol/L (100 mg/dL) to 6.9 mmol/L (125 mg/dL).

The American Diabetes Association recommends a postprandial glucose level under 180 mg/dl and a preprandial plasma glucose between 90-130 mg/dl. Target value of post-prandial blood sugar is less than 140 mg/dL.

There is no relation between HBsAg and fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and Postprandial plasma glucose (PPPG).
