It is true that some people carry the gene that makes them susceptible to diabetes. But at the same time, many of them escape diabetes because the diabetic gene does not express itself in those people.Among those that succumb, the reason could be diet, exercise or lack of it,obesity or too much stress for long periods. These causes may occur individually or in various combinations. So,if your family has diabetic history, you should be aware of it and take certain measures to avoid it or at least post pone it at least for several years. You should moderate your food intake, particularly carbohydrates.Sugar.sweets.vegetables rich in carbohydrates like potato, beet etc should be eaten with extreme moderation, particularly as you advance in age.The aim should be to keep your body weight within safe BMI levels. You should exercise regularly for at least 40 to 60 min.daily,Play a game like tennis or basket ball or swimming.A body which is regularly exercised supported by intelligent dietary habits can repel diabetes to a large extent.

Hereditary factor is one of the different reasons. I cured my diabetes with a special diet in which Long-wheat was the major factor. You try making one of your main meals using Whole-grain Long-wheat. If you search the words Long Wheat in Google you will get more than 10,000,000 article, first of which will be my experience. Read it & try. Or you click my picture onthe left side & read the prfofile notes.

dear jk nair when doctor do not cure or treat properly so they apply a formula it is hereditary If they do not know their treatment then they say it is hereditary . if they cure it then say it is man made.
