why do diabetics suffer from much hunger and thirst even under medication ?
Sir, I think you may kindly review your point. I have observed that body craves for more food and thirst and reslessness and sleepy but can not sleep conditions and the sugar levels measured they indicate very high levels. One of my diabetes doctor advised me whenever such situation arises, I may takePioglit 15 mg at intervals till the sugar is all driven into muscles and drained from blood and he advised me to have some follow up food after the sugar levels recede in blood.
Sir, I meant your point that the insulin in excess craves for more food may be correct to those who naturally secrete insulin in high, excess than requirement. But for a type 2 diabetes like me, some times sugar shoots up ,tindicating it is unable to manage with less insulin secretion insufficient for handling sugar within me. but the body feels, thirst, resless ness, sleepy but can not sleep, demand for water intake are all observed. In panic, I consulted my doctor,who is also a friend of mine what to do for draining the ecess sugar. He informed me that the only route will be to send this excess in blood to tissues, which is blocked by the receptors, by taking Pioglitazone 15 mg at intervals of about 30 minutes to one hour and constantly monitor its decline. and stop using it after stability is achieved. The decline is observed from the feeling of returning to normal. Then I take a small amount of sugar beverage and the weakness goes out. .This rule is only for unexpected shoot ups , and not for regular practice. I have tried it some three or fout times only andI felt relief.This shoot ups occur when ever there are changes in regular food pattern and attending feasts etc.
As i could understand the reply , UNDER fare treatment, i should take 100--140 gms carbohydrate in one meal only rest contain protein natural ,additive free ,fiberous foods.. Further exercise ...meditation..are tools to help one can sleep well otherwise medicine Pioglit 15mg will maintain the high blood sugar level ..(TOO LOW DOWN HUNGER AND THIRST) ..please.advise ahead........
Thirst and hunger are typical symptoms of diabetes and it means your sugar levels are high in spite of medication.You should review the steps you are taking to control diabetes.Probably the drugs are not working adequately,exercise and diet control need fine tuning.You have to find a solution with your own analysis.

You are not controlling diabetes mellitus type 2 satisfactorily by diabetic diet and aerobic exercise (Brisk walking for 30 minutes daily).

* Check your fasting blood sugar daily and avoid foods that cause elevated blood sugar.
* Avoid single high concentrated meals.
* Small frequent meals.
* Food high in fibre content like vegetables, whole pulses, fruits, etc.
Ideal combination of diabetic diet should be:--

what a logical answer sir ! so nice of you...
I have no idea. The conditions are never the same for a person if he has no specific eating habits. At home, I never need any thing more than normal medicines. But there are times when I have to compulsorily take some thing more, may be due to taste or ofrced by relatives to have some thing. my sugar level shoots up , indicated by the symptoms, even without a need of a glucometer. I feel relieved from this menace with pioglitazone as explained.
