Hey jackball! Usually some kind of trauma going on for children if enuresis starts again. Has he had a recent diagnosis? Any changes with new school year? Friends moving away? Or anything else that could possibly hit him hard? Don't forget he's a child, and may not know how to express himself too well, n then scared about talking just in case it means trouble? U know what they're like!

Diabetics usually drink more due to the continuation of feeling thirsty. Maybe try and reduce the amount of fluid drunk before bedtime. Also good glucose control. With this it will slow down the need for the kidneys to get rid of the sugar quickly therefore reducing the need to urinate during the night. Adult diabetics also have this problem during the night as not recognising the need to go to the bathroom, many also manage to wake up in time. As for the nappies for age 8 you should be able to find suitable nappies in the supermarket or chemist.
