If blood sugar is completely under control, then one or two small pieces of sugar cane or few sips of cane juice won't do any harm if taken occasionally.
I was told sugar in sugarcane juice is not refined and hence safer than normal sugar.More you refine it more dangerous .like whole wheat>wheat >maida.
