Life insurance with diabetes

Would anyone share his experiences of getting life insurance with diabetes? I hear it's difficult and expensive.

Why not normalise your blood sugar via diet, then you don't even have to flag it up as a condition. Normal blood sugar - no diabetes!

While getting your blood sugar under control is a good goal. Diet alone does not cure it. The Mediterranean diet is what is suggested. Punch in best diabetic diet in your spacebar and you will see this answer.

Getting normal blood sugar as you put it is not that easy. Apparently you've never had diabetes or you wouldn't make such an uninformed remark.

Did you go through an agent? I tried an online portal and once I said I was diabetic in the application process I was told that they can't insure me.

You should NEVER LIE about your health issues when trying to get medical insurance. This could be trouble when they start asking why you have to see an Endo. all of a sudden. They may not cover the doctor's visit you have to go to every 3-4 months.

Disclose your problem & get a insurance , Expensive but will be beneficial when required.
