Off course honey is only the natural sweet which even can help to reduce sugar level.

I had the same question. Each doc I asked game me a different answer: One said that A diabetic should avoid anything sweet, whether honey or not. Another said honey is natural sugar and is good for consumption especially in tea, porridge and bread. Am just like you. I need a clear answer over this honey thing too!

Diabetes comes about due irregular sugar levels in the blood of a human being because the pancreas has not produced enough insulin to metabolize sugar/glucose.

One has to know where does glucose come from?

Glucose is the end product that can be used by the body which is extracted from carbohydrates.

What are carbohydrates then?

These are all starchy foods, fatty foods and most sweet foods which include Honey.

So my dear if you are diabetic and you want to take honey, do the following.

Test your sugar level before taking honey

Test again after taking honey like after one hour if the sugar level has shot up stop it and if its okay go ahead and take your honey otherwise if you cannot test as above AVOID HONEY it has high carbohydrate like sugar cane which also has natural sugar
