I’m a 64 yo man who is at least 60 pounds overweight. I’m planning to walk on treadmill daily and get more sunlight. I have AFib as well as type 2 diabetes which complicates things. I’m on low carb diet. Looking for other recommendations for losing weight. I have resistance bands but have not used them as I don’t know how to. I know stretching/yoga would be helpful but haven’t been able to motivate myself to do it. I meditate on average 20 minutes every other day. I take a bunch of supplements for heart health and immune support. Thanks.

Not necessarily. You can eventually get off medications many times with exercise, diet and weight loss; however even at a healthy weight, if you start to eat unhealthy and stop exercising you can still have elevated blood sugars.
You should be able to find some YouTube videos about using resistance bands. Strength training is good to help your metabolism. Start small with exercise and try to make it a regular routine - add more time as you get fitter. All the best! Deb in Colorado
