Looking back...

Those were the days.... Back in 1970 something ... Pans People became Legs & Co ... That was so wrong! 'I am sailing' and Rod hogged  the number spot, Leo was hoping the show would go on and a song called ' mouldy o'l dough ' made the charts.

I had denim wedges, a denim coat. Charlie perfume and got my first second hand vinyl player for £5 from Cathy Hall.

I hated swap shop but loved TisWas never missed an episode of TOTP and for some reason Jim'll fix it made me squirm.

The Goodies, Rising Damp, Butterflies and not forgetting The Good Life were on TV.

I got a garlic press and made lasagne, drank babycham which had a cherry in.

I had a crush on Russell Bell wrote endless letters to Robin Ireland and started wearing PVC. Time rolled forward ....

My hair was ghastly I hated my glasses but I learned to drive and discovered Faures Requiem. I flunked at sports was a dimwit in class but hit London as if it was there just for me.

My hair went from blonde to black to blue to red to blue to black and blonde again. I spent hours on the Kings Road, spent a summer chained to a boy named Spike and learned the value of friends with Corrine McGill and Nigel Warwick.

By then It was 1985, I was alive and kicking.

This morning I wake up, and you know I feel exactly the same.

Thanks for that it made me smile and reminisce, you have some great memories there, hang onto them if you can on your bad hrs/days. I actually nursed the mother of one of pans people and met her when she visited her mother was lovely and was when young a professional ballet dancer, she was so proud of her daughter if my memory serves me right . Thanks again xx

You are "truely" talented. You have so many good memories, an have the ability to "awaken" them in others. Thank you for posting....It's nice to go down Memory Lane. :)

Agreed. I was on another planet apparently in the 70's.. I remember Partridge Family and the Monkees and bell bottoms and ponchos. I carried a lot of the 60's into the 70's and beyond.
