Anyone have any homeopathic remedies for better and more restful sleep? Something that helps lessen the vivid dreams and produces a more restful sleep. Thanks!

Hi Lady54, I don't know if you would consider it homeopathic but there is a tea "Sleepy Time"

I have used it and it has worked for me. I have a terrible time with sleep, I won't sleep for a couple of nights and then I crash and sleep half way through the day. In fact last night was my crash night and I got at 1;00pm.

Sorry I'm not more help

1MG Melatonin or 500MG Tryptophan. I also take 25MG (very low dose) of Seroquel. But setting up a routine is key too: going to bed at the same time. no eating or exercsing for an hour or 2 before bedtime, low lighting. Do you suffer from anxiety? That used to keep me up. Now I take 175MG Zoloft and I'm working through a book by Rick Hanson, PhD, called Just One Thing.

I take 200mg. of 5-HTP every night and I sleep great. You better check with your pharmacist first ,because you can't take it with certain medications. You can get it at a Heath Store. I'd be sure to get a good reputable brand too. I get mine through my doctor from a company called Neuro Science. I hope this helps. Sweet dreams.

Hi do you find the longer you sleep. The harder it is to get going again.

Lady .How long do you sleep and how long would you like to sleep ?

I Only get 3 hour if I am lucky .

yours EXPORT.

Lots of herbal remedies for sleep Valerian. Lemon Balm tea.

A Hop pillow is very good they say. even a glass of hot milk with honey, or cocoa perhaps!

I think taking drugs to sleep is a dangerous thing, especially if you need to get up in the night much more chance of a serious fall.

They can leave you lethargic the following day.

Hello again

I think this is a REM sleep disturbance.

Possible remedies -- Belladonna (I would try this first)

Stramonium

Htyoscyamus

Use low potencies (6c) and go up only if necessary.

Before we found that Belladonna helped my partner, he was using a supplement called Seratone (5 HTP) as Tryptophan did not work for him. ( I have read that for some people this may may things worse.) We used to put the Seratone in the Horlicks at night time - we found that a third of a capsule was enough.

Hope this helps

PS For when I CAN'T sleep, as mind won't switch off, I use Coffea!!

I don't believe in homeopathy per se, also I believe the coffee mentioned by partner is the closest to it. Natural remedies I use are melatonin and valerian, plus prescription clonopin.

I just reviewed my journal from 2 years ago and I am now sleeping better. NOw if I could just improve my elimination problem, I would sleep like a baby :D

Sleep has become more and more of a problem for me. I wish I had an answer, I wake up every few hours and will stay awake for a couple of hours before I can fall back to sleep again. It does not seem to matter how tired I am, sometimes it is worse when I am more tired. I have tried most every precription drug I can and herbals. I take Azilect, so there are a lot of restrictions on what I can take...

Sleep? Ha! Seriously, my therapist recommends melatonin because it is a natural sleep aid.
