Yes I have been doing accupuncture for years and it was my accupuncturist who spotted my Parkinsons in the first place .I now do accupuncture for well being it certainly helps my energy levels and I believe helps the efficiency of my medication. She is also a general practitioner.

There has been an accupuncture study going on in the UK which has produced very beneficial results particularly with Non-motor symptoms, such as sleep and digestion. Would love your views. Q

I haven't had acupuncture but I found reflexology benificial. I found the experience relaxing during the session and my tremor stopped for a few hours. I always looked forward to my sessions. Unfortunately due to costs I had to stop getting sessions at the moment

Has anyone had any relief from tremor with acupuncture?

I saw no improvement until after the third session but regular visits improved my gait and energy. The effects only last about a week but I think it is worth the time. I just wish that my insurance covered more than 40 visits a year.

I was a Classically, trained, Licensed and practicing acupuncturist here in Florida until my symptoms became unendurable and incompatible with working.. I receive acupuncturre treatments weekly. I find that the practitioner has to have an deeper understanding of PD than most do, to be effective. I do acupuncture on myself with small magnetic balls attached to adhesive tape. If anyone is interested I could teach you how to do it yourself. It is not as effective as using another person to complete the circuit of Qi, but it helps and it is easy to do. There is a company who sells what they call Gluthatione Patches, suppossed to increase levels by 300%. When I asked how much Gluthathione was in the patch the answer was 0, they palce the patches on Acupoints and rely on the body to create it's own gluthathione. jmc96996@gamail.com for questions.

I have had about 10 sessions. It doesn't make it worse. My symptoms are modest though. Mostly Bradykinesia. It just seems to allow me to try to use my arm again. Its like accupuncture makes me forget that my arm doesn't work. Now it works albeit very slowly still.
