I saw a post a short time ago from someone taking 24mg per day of Pramipexo;e (Mirapexin). At the time, i could not find a way to post a warning that this is way over the maximum dose of 4 mg. i hope he sees this.

Hi Ronhutton123, Wow, hope the person taht is on that high of a dose sees your post. I am on 5mg a day of Mirapex and the doctor said that I cannot go any higher, that we will need to switch my meds up next time.

I was put on 24 mg of RequipXL and suffered major consequences and was reduced to 12 mg before I told my doctor that I had to switch meds.

I am thinking the poster typed Mirapexin when Requip (not sure what it is called in EEC) was the intention or confused max dosage times for two different drugs. The dose stated as 24 mg is the max daily amount for Requip and 3 mg for MIrapex. I would think someone who took 24 mg of Mirapex would be in hospital very quickly after intake of that amount.
