my tremors make me more anxious. (And raise my BP) What have you found to reduce your anxiety? Thanks!

Yoga Nidra mediation helps me reduce my anxiety and therefore my tremor. I usually do a 20 minute meditation. Interestingly, my tremor completely stops during the meditation most of the time. Unfortunately it comes back, albeit, after the mediation. I use You Tube to find the videos, and I'm partial to the ones by Elena Mironov.
thank you. I’ll look into it
my hwp was given 30 mg mirtazipine before bed
that wasn’t good for my husband. I think it is dangerous in a younger person and probably best for very elderly patients where it is ok to sit all day and do nothing. In my opinion it accelerated my husbands pd by making him so dozy he wouldn’t do anything.
Thanks but although”elderly,” I never sit all
Day and do nothing. I’m vigorously active
Mirtazapine turned my active mid fifty year old husband into someone who wouldn't get out of bed or do anything except sit in a chair and stare at the tv. And he lost interest in doing anything. That's when the PD symptoms started.
When I say elderly I mean the ones you see in a rest home staring into space doing nothing. Sorry if I offended you. I was referring to the behavior not age in years as you can be advanced in years but young in behavior
Magnesium Glycinate 665 (120mg elemental) 3x a day with meals seems to help my partner with anxiety and sleep. She's also taking sertraline (zoloft) which seems to help after a very long settling-in time with multiple side effects.
Can you elaborate on the Sertraline as my WWP has it raised from 50mg to 75mg last week as it didn't seem to have made any difference to her anxiety
My partner started on 50 mg about five months ago due to really debilitating anxiety. The first 8 to 10 weeks were hell to be honest, a few physical side effects and no real impact on her anxiety, maybe a slight worsening. Also loss of appetite and a worsening of insomnia, her weight loss was pretty dramatic. But in the last two or three weeks I'm noticing she's calmer and better able to concentrate. Appetite has returned and sleep has improved although she has reintroduced B1 and upped her magnesium intake concurrently. As usual with this damned disease it can be hard to tell which meds and supplements are beneficial.
what meds are you on?
Too much ssri or dopamine make my husband more anxious.
Clonazapam in a very low dose takes the edge off (0.5 mg cut into quarters and spread over day. Also inositol can help, or gaba or rhodiola rosea might work.
It’s a constant problem for us.

I have been using a natural product that I was just introduced to. L-theanine . IT is a calming
L-THEANINE. IS A NATURAL product I used for about a month and have been experiencing great success. It can be purchased at COSTCO . It has a calming effect. Aw
I give my HwP Bened Life Neuralli PS138 probiotic. It’s expensive but worth the cost. Recently I took him off and in about a month tremor, anxiety and trouble sleeping returned. I got him back on it and there were improvements beginning in less than a week. He still isn’t back to where he was, but is much better.
It took about 2 ½ month when he first started taking it before we noticed improvements.
He does take a lot of other medication & supplements too. Right now we have him on a good regimen. I have learned to leave everything alone if he’s doing great!!! Tough lesson!!!
Good luck and God bless
