I experience extreme muscle spasms between my shoulders at the end of the day. I am attributing it to PD bent forward posture and sleeping in my side. I use a Hypervolt percussion, comfrey salve, castor oil pack with heating pad and quick visit to a chiropractor every 2 months or so. The chiropractic visit does wonders.
I’ve started the process to have DBS. My question is to those who have had the procedure….does DBS relieve this type of muscle strain?
Thank you

Have you ever tried one of those massage machines? I always worry about getting a stroke from a chiropractor stretching or tearing a neck artery. We get arterio- sclerosis as we age which makes them brittle and subject to tearing.
I use a hypervolt is that what you consider a massage machine? It is helpful, but the chiropractor knows exactly where the problematic areas are. The chiropractor does nothing that would cause damage.
I wonder if craniosacral therapy could help or some other techniques like matrix repatterning. There might be some massage techniques that could be helpful or matrix repatterning. Bowen therapy might be helpful.
Have you tried a peanut massage roller? They have massage balls that go on either side of the spine. I bought one for my husband that also vibrates. It seems to help relax his back muscles.
DBS in my experience did take away my muscle spasms in shoulders. I had also developed cervical dystonia which it relieved to a lesser degree. I have successfully treated the dystonia by visiting specifically an upper cervical chiropractor. No wrench of neck but gently aligning my C1 vertebrae.
