Sand volleyball after DBS

Does anyone play sand volleyball after having DBS? My programming nurse said I should be fine to play...I had DBS in October/November 2019. I guess I'm concerned about getting hit in the battery.

The effekt of dbs is depending on the exakt position of the electric stimulation. You probably went through som serious tests to place it in the right spot. What happens went you do fast changes of direction, fast start and stop, or fall or get hit in your head?

I’m not sure, but think twice and have a wonderful summer.

I had my battery placed on the left side to accommodate my golf swing. I wound up detaching the wires just above the shoulder. You want to talk about focus, try keeping head down while feeling electrical shocks at the height of your backswing from the short circuit caused by the loose wires. The surgery to fix it did not involve the skull and was much simpler. So if something does go wrong it likely can be repaired. In the meantime enjoy life. DBS enabled me to focus on my four boys through their high school and college years (including plenty of time on the golf course). I am not a doctor, much less a neurosurgeon, so you need to rely on them in the end.

To be safe you could wear a helmet, such as a bicycle helmet.
