this is the email i Got, what do you think

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Biostar’s stem cell therapy for Parkinson’s disease. The treatment is recommended for patients with early to mild stages. The cell dose for treatment will be determined on the patient’s stage of the disease. This will also determine the cost and number of treatment sessions.

The following is an overview of the steps required for stem cell treatment.

In order to plan for the treatment, lab tests and lipoaspiration (in Korea) must be completed. After the patient’s fat is collected, the cell culturing process takes about 6-8 weeks and this is when the treatment can be scheduled (in Japan).

Please see the 3 lab tests required below. You may complete the blood tests at any local lab.

First screening:

Blood tests below (within the last 6 months) and most recent health diagnosis.

· Hepatitis

· Syphilis (STI) or VDRL

· HIV

Please send us the lab results. Upon review, we will be able to determine your eligibility and recommend the total cell dose for stem cell treatment.

Subscription form & Payment: If you are eligible for treatment, the subscription form and payment will need to be completed before scheduling the lipoaspiration appointment.

Payment includes lipoaspiration, stem cell banking, and treatment fees.

Lipoaspiration appointment in Seoul, Korea (only Mon- Fri, Sat mornings)

· Fasting required 6 hrs prior evening of lipoaspiration appointment

· Stop taking aspirin or warfarin for 1 week (Need to consult with doctor as needed)

· Stop taking any blood circulation improvement medications for 1 week

· 2 nights- 3 days in Seoul is required for the lipoaspiration appointment.

· Please provide your availability dates after eligibility is confirmed and we will assist you in scheduling the appointment.

4. Stem Cell Treatment in Tokyo, Japan

*Total cell dose, treatment session dates will be scheduled for 6-8 weeks after lipoaspiration appointment

*Travel, lodging, meal costs are not included

Cost Breakdown

Our current stem cell banking pricing for lipoaspiration, stem cell banking for 20 years, and 50 million stem cells is $5,000.00

Every additional 100 million cells = $6,000.00

The most recent diagnosis will need to be reviewed before determining the total cell dose for treatment. We recommend 600-800 million cells for patients with Parkinson’s disease.

200 mil cells per treatment is recommended, so there may be 3-4 scheduled treatments. Each treatment session is scheduled at 4-5 day intervals, so the patient may need to stay in Japan for 2-3 weeks.

At minimum, it looks to be costing $41,000, plus travel expenses to Korea and Japan. Sounds a bit steep, but then can you put a price on health? And what about if it doesn't work?

you should be suspicious of any lab like this where you have to pay for an unlicensed unproven technology. It may not work, in which case you're only out of pocket. But it might harm you…..
