my Pk is progressing quite well 3 years after diagnosis I am still not taking drug therapy. The only annoyance is the lack of balance which I am fighting every day in the gym with proper exercises and fast walking on the treadmill. Do you have any advice for me on how to improve my balance in the gym or otherwise?

there are some vision exercises that might help with balance
Do you exercise your balance a bit? For instance, when brushing my teeth, I try to stand on one leg for 1 minute and then on the other leg for 1 minute. That adds up to 4 minutes of balance training throughout the day. Other than that, yoga helps a bit.
I go to a taichi for Parkinson's group. I can't prove whether it helps with balance, but my feeling is that it does.
Try throwing a small ball at the wall in front of you with one hand and catching with the other also put chairs out randomly not in a row and try walking around them
Really good idea to have an eye Dr. check for a cataract or two....and a vision test. I was wobbling all over the place. I had the right cataract done 2 years ago and decided to wait. Now I did the left one, and my balance problem disappeared right after the bandages came off. Thrilled?...you bet!
you might want to look into high dosage of vitamin B1- Thiamine therapy. There are a lot of very valuable information on this forum and in Facebook. You can also find many testimonies praising the effects of this therapy and one of them is balance improvement Findings the correct dosage for each person is time consuming and can be frustrating sometimes. I think it is well worth it.
