A veteran's health fellow introduced me to an article on Citicolene. Is any forum member or their partners with PD actually using this therapy as it relates to PD and if yes then please advise the result? Regards

Thanks much for you input above. To err on the side of safety and logic I think that I will not pursue Citicoline any further at this time. B regards Scout222

My husband started this combination of fish oils and CDP choline to help with dyskinesia which he gets as a result his C/L. Not quite such a large dose as Laura Mischley recommended. His dyskinesia has lessened, he’s also added in a low slow release C/L pill at night as suggested by the PD nurse to keep a low level of levadopa in his system as the dyskinesia was worse after his morning dose of pills.

Hard to know which is helping the most so he still takes the supplements. Discussed on the link below. Not had any adverse effects and he stopped all supplements on a 10 day holiday recently. He said he felt better when restarting the supplements.

It will help to clean the liver. But you have to use binders also. Because the dirt that comed out the liver can bring discomfort in the beginning.

I recall someone on this forum saying that if you start citicoline, then you have to take it forever. If you stop taking it afterwards, things won't go well. That is what the person said, but I can't remember the details.

Per Mischley, it augments the effect of C/L. She usually recommends it when you get to around 200mg C/L per dose, and its not working well enough.

I take it.

If you stop, you return to baseline after approx 1 month, when its out of your system.
