Hi,
Lately, I read that hydrogen water could be beneficial to PD people. May I ask if anyone has tried it? How was your experience like? Was it worth investing in a hydrogen water bottle? Many thanks.

Randomized, Double-Blind, Multi- center Trial of Hydrogen Water for Parkinson’s Disease
“We conducted a longer and larger scale H 2 water trial that also included patients who were not treated with levodopa. A placebo-controlled, randomized, double- blind, parallel-group (1:1) clinical trial was performed in 14 hospitals (trial registration UMIN000010014). The inclusion criteria, ethical considerations, randomi- zation, blinding, procedures, statistical analyses, and characteristics of the 178 enrolled Japanese participants with PD “
"This study revealed that the consumption of H 2 water was safe, but did not show beneficial effects in patients with PD. "
Thanks PB. I will continue to let my hydrogen water gadget sit unused on my counter.
There are also other findings, see e.g. neuro.musashino-u.ac.jp/pub...
thank you Park Bear. Now I won’t spend on a hydrogen water bottle then. 🙏
With husband and son dealing with Parkinson’s and showing improvement arresting progression (son early onset had DBS); husband and daughter fighting cancers (husband CLL… now in remission, daughter recurrent TNBC stage 4... now stage 0!!!), other daughter lowering her body mass index and all of us focusing on gut health, drinking hydrogen water has become a part of our daily routines. Our integrative doctors and Hope for Cancer encourage this as one step in the more considerable customizations of our protocols (lifestyle, diet, medications, supplements, and therapies).
Studies increasingly indicate reduced inflammation, oxidative stress, and cytokine responses as well as improved immune functions.
It makes sense and is easy to implement, so why not? !!!

Continued research affirming this would be outstanding. However, there's already so much out there pointing the way.
Typically, traditional doctors will not likely get on board until the pharmaceutical industry latches on and invests in standardized research in pursuit of standard practice. Factoring in the profit margin calculations and insurance mechanisms that propel trials and studies like that forward, it will likely be a long haul before this ever happens.
Hydrogen water is already “out there,” with supportive studies, anecdotal accounts and technological advances making it plausible, accessible and affordable directly to consumers, so why would “they” go to that expense?

you can try hydrogen tablets if you want to see if it benefits you. I bought Dr mercola’s hydrogen tablets but did not use it because my husband has SIBO - small intestinal bacteria overgrowth- and those nasties give off hydrogen/ methane gas that makes the stomach feel bloated.
You put tablet in water and when fizz clears drink it immediately. One a day. It’s cheaper than buying an expensive machine or bottle. If it works for you then you can invest in whatever suits you
