P128 Probiotic

My father just started taking P128 probiotic and we noticed a huge difference in his mental clarity and energy levels right away. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this one? This is pretty expensive but it seems to really help. He has had Parkinson's for 17 years so we are trying lots of new things because he is maxed out on the Rytary pills.

That’s very encouraging to hear. What brand please and what dosage ?

I got one that was less expensive than pure PS128, it was Neualli Mood, or something like that. It has the PS128 and then also HT-PS23. We just did 2 pills around 4:45. Before dinner and on an empty stomach. My mom read that it is important to drink a lot of water with it to make sure it flushed through the stomach so that the stomach acid doesn't break down the bacteria as much. This one was cheaper at something around $80. It wouldn't go for the pure one because it was just too much at $165, but I imagine it could work better. I don't know how long we are supposed to keep taking it, but I think we'll try for at least 3 months and then see. He also takes another probiotic in the morning to help with the GI symptoms from his parkinsons.

It didn't help my PD symptoms but it clears up my skin. I have tried everything for acne and it's the first thing that worked! I stopped it for four days on a trip and my face got bad again. Restarted and it cleared up! benedlife.com/products/neur...

I don't want to seem suspicious... but you just joined HU today and your first post is to endorse P128 Probiotic. I hope you are on the up and up.

And now Multibiotics Active and Mind will be sold out

RienPoort profile image
RienPoort in reply to Bolt_Upright

Hmmm, thanks for pointing that out! It's difficult isn't it? I don't want to be suspicious also but you do have to be wary. A bit like the guy who cured his Parkinson's by praying to god!

But then at least you know it's fake.

RienPoort profile image

There is a new AI based product under development that I'm party to as a tester. You can ask it anything and you'll get answers minus the hidden vested interests. Sadly people that undermine HU (eg the pray to god merchant) are doing us no favours!

How do you know that it's fake?

GermanShepherd79 profile image

why put down people of faith. I have seen cancer cured, old stroke cured, blind eyes restored and hole in jaw healed overnight with no medical intervention. The people did not attend the same churches, did not know each other. I was PCP to each one and I saw each. I have seen God heal. But it is very, very rare. My husband is not healed. But I know healings happen.

I didn't even mention a company - saying PS128 helped my Dad is like saying CBD helped my Dad, there are many companies that sell CBD and probiotics, albeit less that sell PS128. Many other posts on the forum actually mention brands and link to specific products.

So if the main reason you are casting suspicion on me is because this is my first post, then hopefully as I continue to post more and respond to more threads you can trust me?

I think the question of AI generated fake/deepfake content will grow into a bigger issue in the future so I understand the concern.

Bolt_Upright profile image
Bolt_Upright in reply to KatQ

Sorry about that. This is a very popular PD forum and we get first time posts about once every few months testifying that something helped somebody close to them. You have convinced me you are not one of those people.

I am pretty sure that there is only one company selling PS128: Bened Life Neuralli benedlife.com/

There is a world outside of the USA Davegoogle.com/url?sa=t&source=...

As I have posted elsewhere extensively it is possible to make a yoghurt from PS128. Providing you have acquired viable bacteria. Ps128 needs to be kept chilled in storage and transit. If you can get it to you viable it stores just fine in the fridge.

Yoghurt proves it is live, provides many more cfu per pot, and can be made again from reserve, which makes it MUCH less expensive 😀

KatQ in reply to WinnieThePoo

Thanks, I think I will try making it, that would be amazing for it to be cheaper. I think I saw your other thread about this!

PS128 probiotic has been discussed at length on this forum :

From hearing these responses and reading the other thread, I wonder if the change that the probiotic brings is more helpful for mild/moderate cognitive impairment that can sometimes manifests in later stage parkinsons from lewy bodies. For example, my father has scored 16/36 on the MOCA test which is moderate cognitive impairment. Many people with parkinsons might be scoring 36/36 on the MOCA test. So I wonder if the effects of the probiotic are too subtle to be worth it unless you have measurable cognitive impairment. For my Dad maybe it was very noticeable because he is really exhausted and has problems expressing his thoughts clearly and working memory etc. It seemed to bring his mental state and morning energy back a 2 years!

I was an early adopter of PS128 and didn't notice any changes.

More recently there was discussion about making yogurt with it. I tried it and loved it, but it didn't love me!

I enjoyed the yogurt for a month or two when I realized it was irritating my bowel.

Not sure if it was just too much of a good thing (about 1/4 cup of the yogurt, with fruit in the evening), or if it's just the wrong thing for me.

I stopped using it.

My apologies- you are correct.

You waited for someone to elicit the information - “What brand please and what dosage ?”

You are even more ingenious than I thought 🧐

I'm sure she anticipated someone asking what brand. Really??

To put the records straight, I’m the PWP who asked KatQ about brand and dosage. We are not affiliated in any way, except I now feel a bond of friendship to KatQ for sharing the details with me with such frankness and kindness. As for yourself, if you are holding such a grudge against life for the cards you’ve been dealt then please find other scapegoats than the honest and open members of this forum. We’re here to support each other, if that’s your intention then please think about other approaches.

some on the forum are being VERY mean to me. I’m so over this. I thought this was supposed to be a community for support and learning. I don’t know why you are treating me like this.

MBAnderson profile image
MBAnderson in reply to KatQ

KatQ,

Indeed, there are a couple less than supportive remarks, but all and all not too bad, except for what's his name's comment, who can be pretty snippy sometimes, which if he had read your post carefully, he'd realize his wasn't justified. Nearly all of the comments, however, stick to the substance.

Admittedly, it does take some thick skin to hang around this bunch. You got off easy compared to moi - over stuff I never (?) deserve.

Oh, and watch out for Winner the Pooh. He can be a rascal at times.

KatQ profile image
KatQ in reply to MBAnderson

Thanks. MBAnderson, I appreciate that heads-up. I guess I don't have a thick skin at all, especially right now since I am going through a very difficult time with my fathers care and progression.

Don't go. Mostly it is. It's the same as any other group in life, there is always someone who is having a bad day

WinnieThePoo profile image
WinnieThePoo in reply to KatQ

Don't take it too personally. They made a mistake. But I understand why. Most genuine members ask questions and ask for help first. Then, a bit later they may share experiences of things that helped them.People whose first post is "I've found this wonderful product and it cured my PD" are usually attempts to fraudulently promote a product or treatment and rapidly get reported and removed by site admin.

Your first post looked a bit suspicious, but your subsequent posts and biographical details suggest you are a genuine person and will be most welcome as a member

And you should find you get much less of a rough ride going forward.

Tell us a bit more about your Dad

I’ve been taking it for 2 weeks and I have found I can go a little longer between meds. Also my stomach seems a little flatter.

Could be placebo as I often find things help initially and then don’t. I’ll let you know.

I got mine from Singapore - it was quite expensive but worth it if it works.
