Odd as it may sound I was reading a book that mentioned this today so here is an article specific to Parkinson's but it is from 2020

the book mentioned using bioelectronics to stimulate the vagus nerve

"The vagus nerve regulates inflammation and cytokine release through the inflammatory reflex. Recent pilot clinical trials using implantable bioelectronic devices have demonstrated the efficacy of vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) in adult patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) as an alternative to drug treatments."

It was suggested that if Parkinson's is the result of inflammation the bioelectronic device could help with inflammation or autoimmune situations.

"Bioelectric medicine leverages natural signaling pathways in the nervous system to counteract organ dysfunction. This novel approach has potential to address conditions with unmet needs, including heart failure, hypertension, inflammation, arthritis, asthma, Alzheimer's disease, and diabetes. Neural therapies, which target the brain, spinal cord, or peripheral nerves, are already being applied to conditions such as epilepsy, Parkinson's, and chronic pain"

From this statement: The mild electromagnetic signal generated by 'Amofit S' operates at a very low level compared to the intensity of the magnetic field generated by the human body and is equivalent to 1/10 of the Earth's electromagnetic field. Natural neurostimulation based on the principle of the human body entrainment does not have any side effects and guarantees higher safety.

It appears that this is a Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field (PEMF) device with specific pulse frequencies.

We are having good results with PEMF using DIY mats, so I believe the tech is plausible. PEMF has been studied extensively and found to be very safe.

Last week one of my husband's docs suggested that we consider investing in a PEMF mat. JOhn has had PEMF therapy many times in the past but we have never owned a mat. Mind sharing which one you have , and cost, where you got it from, etc? Also how long you have used, how often used, and what benefits you've seen? (or have you already posted this and I can read that?)

apologies in advance for the long answer. To answer your specific question, we started using red light therapy and, in pursuing how it works, I found that PEMF has a similar impact on mitochondria function. However, PEMF penetrates through the body while red light attenuates quickly near the surface of the body. I researched PEMF mats and they are pretty expensive. I believe someone on the channel has an Omnipemf that they are quite happy with. I wanted to see if this worked before investing a bunch of money, so I went the DIY route. The good news is that you can build one of these pretty inexpensively.

I initially built a small belt for her to put behind her back to deal with lower back pain. It helped with the pain, but had the near magical knock on effect of completely resolving her constipation. We also put it under her pillow at a very low frequency to support brain entrainment to help her sleep which has worked well. It doesn't help her GET to sleep, but it does seem to KEEP her asleep. Finally, I built a whole body mat and a "headset". The goal of these is to, hopefully, slow the decline in the remaining dopamine creating brain cells that she has.

She has the lower back mat on her office chair and has it in place several hours per day. She sleeps on the brain entrainment one every night. She spends at least 30 minutes every day on the full body and "headset". She has seen more general "feel better" from the full body. If we are protecting neurons will be something to see over time.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply with such a thorough reply. It helps me very much!

Would you be willing to share instructions on how to make one? I considered getting a beemer, but that would be a huge expense for me, and I live alone and can no longer work. So that was a bummer. But I have tried beemer mats and they definitely calm the nervous system.
