I am delighted to announce that our last zoom session of the year will be taking place at 8 pm London time on Monday, the 13th of December.

We will have the opportunity to listen to Lucy Jung, CEO of Charco Neurotech, the company that produces the CUE1, a non-invasive wearable device that utilises pulsed cueing and focused vibrotactile stimulation to reduce slowness and stiffness.

The company has recently announced its partnership with EPDA, the European Parkinson's Disease Association, and was a featured in their online magazine: parkinsonslife.eu/could-a-w...

It was also mentioned in The Times newspaper after what is said to be the largest financing round this year in Europe for a health technology device:

We’ve been following this with interest as the company is near us in the U.K. and shows some promising results with PD sufferers. My husband is on the ‘waiting list’ as are several members on here. Thanks for posting Michel.

Thank you very much Zella. They will soon be delivering the first devices to people on the waiting list and I hope that your husband will be among the first ones!

Hi racsikanna, my husband had his Cue 1 on July 27 th (2022)and apart from a 2 week beach holiday to the Caribbean (when he suspended using it due to worry about swimming in it) has used it daily.

It fixes on a circular piece of surgical tape on his collar bone. The tape remains in situe when charging of the unit is being done overnight. It can be situated on the body to users preference.

It has made a difference to his walking, striding and balance noticed by himself as well as others. Pace is normalised although he can still feel tired after a couple of miles of walking. It is said to help with freezing, but he has never suffered from that.

At under £300 it seems to be well worth it.. Charco tech are a very responsive and helpful company.

Do you know if we would be able to get the device in the States? Are all welcome to your zoom meeting?

Hi Redginger

This is the reply from Charconeurotech

"Thank you for passing on the USA question. Making the CUE1 available in the USA is something which we are striving hard towards making happen; we are currently undergoing FDA clearance for this, and hope to start making the CUE1 available to the US in 2022. Please also feel free to pass on our contact info (info@charconeurotech.com) or our FAQ page (charconeurotech.com/faq/) to anyone else who would like to learn more or ask us some questions :) "

Hope that helps
