I use a home made system that uses red and N.I.R. led strips and a device that pulses the light at 40hz. I have pure Autonomic Failure a related disease. It helps with daytime tiredness and possibly night time sleep for me. It's totally safe as long as you don’t get the NIR light in your eyes. I read it increases cataracts.
