This is intriguing, but I don't think a 10% reduced risk is all that significant. If it carried a 90% reduced risk, I would be really excited.

I guess it is just research at someone's expense!

I don't see much benefit in any case, since one cannot redo one's genes or epigenetic switches... for a while anyway, hopefully maybe someday. And when that day comes we can stop worrying about GMO food, we will be genetically modified ourselves.
