I am surprised. I have been communicating with this company for years and they always told me that it was just for essential tremor and not for Parkinson tremor

I went to their site. I answered their questionnaire. We think my husband may have both essential tremor AND Parkinson's. Here is what they said after filling out the questionnaire:

Thank you

Based on your responses, the Cala kIQ™ System may not be an appropriate therapy for your tremor. If you have more questions, please visit the help center.

article says it’s only for action tremor

An essential tremor is especially aggravated with activities / stress, you really don't need any measuring equipment for that. I know when I start splitting wood that I will vibrate enormously. Fine, no medicine helps with that. “There are several medications available that can help to manage tremor, but these treatments may lead to side effects in certain patients. “ That's a slight understatement…

With the PD rest tremor, it would be practical as a signaling, possibly as a warning for your medication, which is often forgotten. Looks like the distinction can't be made yet. In addition, the mixing form also occurs with PWP.

I went on the Cala website and answered a questionnaire and responded that my sole reason for tremor was Parkinson’s. I received a response back that the device wouldn’t be for me.

It's for those PD patients who have action tremor (not resting tremors)

ok thanks.

I have a resting tremor that acts up significantly from stress or anxiety. C/L doesn’t help.

I'm definitely going to see if my insurance will help cover some cost. I have PD tremor and essential tremor, if this can help it would be a game changer for me
