Sulphoraphane in canola / rapeseed oil?

Now when I see the beautiful yellow rapeseed fields, I wonder if this cruciferous plant, like broccoli, kale and Brussels sprouts, also contains as much sulphoraphane, especially in the concentrated form when cold pressed (bio) oil is made from it. Canola / rapeseed oil would have the lowest percentage of saturated fatty acids of all vegetable oils. It also contains a lot of vitamins E and K, antioxidants, valuable omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and a high content of unsaturated fatty acids. Omega-6 (also called linoleic acid) are essential polyunsaturated fatty acids. These fatty acids are said to have various positive properties, such as inhibiting the production of cholesterol and strengthening the immune system. However, rapeseed oil is only healthy to a limited extent and in the right proportion to omega-3 use. Fortunately, the balance in rapeseed oil between both omega fatty acids is naturally good. All the more reason to use this oil in addition to olive oil, if it can also contribute a daily sulphoraphane.

Thanks for the broccoli sprouts information. Previous attempts didn't really go well so I'll try it in the future according to the manual. That will probably be more in winter. First I will focus on my garden where I have sown 3 broccoli varieties and it seems that I can provide our entire village generously with hundreds of plants! In addition, I planted 10 other types of cabbage. There will be plenty of preservation in the freezer and in the dryer…

But every day you use oil and hence my question for the possibility of sulphoraphane supplementation by canola / rapeseed oil. If you or others have more information about that I would be great. In addition, I am awaiting the results with broccoli seed tea. This will certainly become part of a (tasty) PD-tea that I am developing! 🍀
