I've been advised by Dr Sam Evans(Dr Mischley's practice) to take 600mg intranasal glutathione, but I'm in the UK so getting a hold of it is proving impossible. I've contacted my neurologist and a reputable supplements company to see if they can assist in locating some here.
In the meantime I've been reading about NMN and it's restorative abilities when taken intranasally.
This is proving easier to locate.
Does anyone have any suggestions concerning this?
Thanks for your time,

I live in the UK, too. Here's what I do for glutathione.
I order pure glutathione powder from Blackburn Distributions in the United States. I've had two deliveries to the United Kingdom with no problem.
I dissolve the powder in distilled water in 20 or 30 mL nasal spray bottles that I got off of Amazon. Somehow, glass bottles seem to work better than plastic (I have less nasal irritation the morning after, which suggests that maybe the glutathione interacts with the plastic?? Or maybe the bottles I bought just had crappy plastic?). I keep the prepared spray bottle in my refrigerator. I buy distilled water from Amazon, too. It’s significantly more expensive than in the United States, but I don’t use very much, so a bottle lasts for a good while.
I know that in one of her papers, Dr. Mischley said that she worked with a compounding pharmacist to A) measure how well dissolved glutathione “kept” and B) how to preserve it so it keeps longer. However, in the same paper, I believe she described that glutathione did not lose that much potency in the first week. I may be wrong, but my reckoning is that if I prepare a mixture with just glutathione and distilled water each week or so, I should be good.
I use significantly less than 600 mg a day. I put about 600 mg into the whole bottle, which lasts me about a week. Intranasal application delivers a higher proportion than oral administration, so I’m surprised that they are recommending 600 mg intranasal per day. But on the other hand, maybe I’ve been underdosing. Until now, I’ve just taken it in the evenings, but I keep thinking that maybe I should take it two or three times a day.
Like many people on this forum, I take a heap of different supplements, and I often wonder which ones are actually doing anything beneficial. However, I feel confident that glutathione has benefit. When I first started taking intranasal glutathione, my sleep improved dramatically. After a week or two, the effects diminished somewhat, but it still has benefit.
My HWP did the glutathione push via injection for over one year. Very $$$ and did not really see much benefit. Also take many supplements and wonder which are really working. For around $300 in US you an have a micronutrient blood panel run. It will measure what is deficient. Prior to his diagnosis he low in Choline and B5. We also use a consultant with Dr. Mischely, put us on a very low inflammatory diet, added DHEA and more D3.
Interesting take on NAD+ NMN
MD response to question: NAD+ nasal spray vs NMN sublingual tablets.
The sublingual delivery of drugs has been used for a long period of time and is starting to make a return because of the aging society. The nice thing about sublingual is that it bypasses the first pass of the hepatic system. Many times this provides greater results. I have included an article I think you will find interesting. innovareacademics.in/journa... ... 2/1092.pdf
Nasal delivery is also very effective because of the large mucosal surface area and the amount of vascular beds as well as the ability to bypass the blood brain barrier by using the olfactory and trigeminal nerve. I have included an article that discusses in detail the nasal delivery system and mechanisms used to increase delivery. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
Strange recommendation from her. Mischley's own research on intranasal glutathione showed that it indeed raised brain levels of glutathione...but in a controlled clinical trial she conducted, it was no more effective on PD symptoms than placebo (intranasal saline).
You want to buy "reduced" glutathione with no additives or fillers because intranasal therapy bypasses the BBB and you don't want garbage going into your brain. We get enough toxic exposure from the ambient environment. This is a source, not a recommendation 🙂
