Constipation seems to be my most serious PD symptom. Many have gastroparesis--poor stomach function--but for me the problem was at the other end, literally, Linzess was prescribed but didn't solve the problem. I went from constipation to voluminous diarrhea. That was only slightly better than constipation, But two days on Motegrity seems to be working: Normal BM with no gassiness or cramping. So far.

Motegrity
Thanks Kaypeeoh. I will try it.
My husband had constipation however he was treated for SIBO and GERD and then we went to a naturopath who suggested taking lactobacillus rhamnosus to help prevent the SIBO from returning and he also takes digestive enzymes and he no longer has constipation. This might not work for others but it has been very helpful. He takes bromelain, papain, a combination of vegetarian digestive enzymes, and a product called Digest Ultimate. He also drinks a lot more water and liquids now. He takes a supplement called Esophageal Balance to help prevent the GERD from returning.
I had the same experience. Years of constipation before being diagnosed with PD which I controlled with Herblax, a natural laxative. I was having more and more indigestion so started Linzess. 2 months of bloating, diarrhea and reflux so my Dr switched to Motegrity. I've been on it 1 week and doing so much better!
I use soaked chia seeds in my porridge every morning. Works like clockwork
On a whim I tried widening the waist on a pair of jeans. A three-ton transmission jack seems to work well. Now I'm wondering if I could make money doing this.
Have your tried eating walnuts or pecans - preferably the unsalted kind that you might find in the baking section of your local grocery store? They always seem to work for me. No diarrhea or cramping. It just loosens the stool gently.
