Hello all ,
I have a question for you regarding the B1 high dose therapy protocol:
When you take a low dose, per day such as 300 mg, is it necessary to take a break after three months of the protocol?

I've seen reports on this forum that it is helpful for some as a means to prevent B1 overdose and that was one of Dr. Costantini's recommendations to his patients. He suggested that this was one way to adjust the dose in case it became too high.

Thank you Art I had already read it, As I take little B1 vitamins per day maybe I don't need a break After three months?
I can only speak for myself on this - I have been taking 500 milligrams daily for years and never felt the need to take a break.
And whenever (twice) I've stopped my husband's B1, he complains that he feels awful . Although we're still adjusting his dose, we won't be stopping it again.
I did drop him to 500 this last time we adjusted his dose. And over maybe 2 months, he is now on 3000.
Since this last jump from 2500 to 3000, I've seen greatly increased energy and motivation. But, he says his drool has only improved a little.
I'm grateful. Dear Dr C, We love you.
