That's a great video. Add what he's saying to other what other researchers are discovering and it begins to make sense. A lot of cleanup is needed, laws need to be changed, etc. This TedX video talks about a similar problem with BMAA ( a neurotoxin produced by some bacteria blooms, which are also caused by humans)

What a great video. Thanks Jas9. Now adding L-Serine to my breakfast smoothie. I had cycads up on the hill behind me and relied on rainwater and although I had a filter for drinking water and bats were a part of life in the Whitsunday rainforest it is quite possible this BMAA has snuck into my system and caused my Parkinson's.

Bodor, that was just one patient and it does not mean it is the cause for ALL Parkinson's individuals. The odds of this applying to all Parkinson's individual would be beyond astronomical. Your link was not helpful unless one can read German. But you did not answer my question, "Do you have Parkinson's?"

I didn't have it, my mother had it, the cause of the disease was solved with the new German medicine, after the solution, the symptoms gradually disappeared, she was able to walk independently, she left Madopar, but a stroke occurred, which suddenly took her away.

Bodor. That statement is a victim blaming one for a start. Certainly some of us have fears and traumas that are unresolved...but you seem to have a simplistic speculation about its etymology. If you have Pd. Stop blaming yourself for the choices you have made and choose healthier ones like getting support, exercising etc. If you are not a PWP, maybe your intention is to help however, your judgement doesn't sound fair. We are here to do our best to support each other by finding our strengths and providing information. Patient blaming has little if not room on this site. Regards. Ch.

I'm not blaming the patient, I'm just saying that diseases develop as a result of a negative lived experience, if we identify this and resolve it emotionally, we can heal. We got sick using emotions, so it is possible to dissolve them emotionally in order to heal.

I hear you and certainly i agree that maybe at the root of my illness there is deep trauma. Toxic food, toxic pesticides, stress, toxic events, toxic relationships it all impact the brain and the body...we live in a toxic society. Whatever method to heal or reverse PD should be available to us all repeatable and affordable...

First of all, Parkinson's Disease has been around for thousands of years (or, descriptions of it have been) way before pesticides and toxic food. Second, not everyone with PD has an "inability to move". I don't, not at all. I have a tremor, and a lowered of sense of smell, and stiffness in one arm. I've had it for seven years.

And, I have an inherited gene that causes my lysosomes not to handle metabolic waste very efficiently.

And, if I have a toxic relationship, I don't especially know about it. I actually consider myself pretty cheerful. But I do know some people who seem pretty unhappy...and who don't have Parkinson's.
