Hi Everyone!

Yes, the neurology academicians have concluded the Hitler had motor and non-motor symptoms of PD. As he fought his demons aggravated by insomnia, he orchestrated his evil path of events of WW2. He earned the title of h Man of Evil. The insightful reader will be amused as 666 show its head at a previously unrecognized critical turning point in Jewish world history. Enjoy!

He had his own personal doctor, and after the "bomb in his bunker" incident in 1944, had visible Parkinson's Disease like symptoms, severe stooping, and uncontrollable shaking of his hands. I have early Parkinson's Disease like symptoms, although not fully diagnosed, he was a very evil man, but in no way do I find that "amusing"?

just seeing pictures of Hitler is disturbing and the research article does seem to show some bias in interpreting symptoms

"Research works have suggested almost incontrovertibly, that Adolf Hitler suffered from Parkinsonism. However, the precise nature of his illness had always been controversial and post-encephalitic and idiopathic varieties were the ones which were most commonly thought as the possible etiology."

"He displayed features like oculogyric crisis, palilalia, and autonomic symptoms which strongly implicate post-encephalitic etiology in the genesis of his illness. Others on the contrary, observed premorbid personality traits like non-flinching mental rigidity, extreme inflexibility, and awesome pedantry; which are often observed in idiopathic Parkinson's disease. Moreover, nonmotor symptoms like disturbed sleep, proneness to temper tantrums, phases of depression, suspiciousness, and lack of trust on colleagues have also been described by various authors. Additionally, he was prescribed methamphetamine by his personal doctor and that might have led to the development of some of the later traits in his personality."

"Abstract

Adolf Hitler had Parkinson symptoms in 1934, at age 45 years. He may have had transient symptoms in 1923, at age 34 years. Young-onset parkinsonism, during the 1920s, favored a diagnosis of post-encephalitic rather than idiopathic parkinsonism. Hitler had oculogyric crises, phenomena only associated with post-encephalitic parkinsonism. In addition, he had dystonic facial spasms, palilalia and a sleep disorder, phenomena more likely to be associated with post-encephalitic than idiopathic parkinsonism."

I honestly do not care if Hitler had Parkinson’s and I doubt it’s true. Every PwP I’ve met has been a beautiful being, kind and caring

This is a misleading article or at least given to misinterpretation by logical sloppiness or an expertise amphetamines explains just about every one of these and then on top of that who knows what kind of effects were had with the bomb blast creating dramatic stress and cephalopathy a various kinds, or exacerbating what he was already having with all the speed. Most significantly, speed explains everything all by itself and parkinsonISM is not Parkinson's. The whole thing with using the word ParkinsonISM is really diagnostically a bad convention anytime someone who is not a trained professional uses the term because it biases and leads the thinking. But you know it wouldn't get any ratings points or sell any copies without some controversy, one needs that to get any marketing done.

More scientific supposition. I don't know anyone with parkinsons who'd have the energy to control a nation and lead a war against the world 24/7.I do look at jo Biden though and think -he looks at 80+ how i feel at 60. Short shuffle steps, no arm swing, stiffness, slurred...

A better word is "slopposition" not supposition.

Franco did. For 40 years.

From what I've read franco had parkinsons at age 70 to 82, way past his hey day of terror. And he wasn't fighting the world with pd, he was a free roaming murderous dictator. Though I'm no expert in Spanish history so you may know better

rigidity can manifest in many ways I suppose. And if one is rigid long enough, maybe it leads to the type of tremor I personally feel, like a hypersensitivity to any kind of intense emotion, even excitement. I happen to be Jewish and my family has suffered greatly from the deeds of this frightening example of how damaged a human can be and how widespread the mass hypnosis can become. No one is immune from this kind of behavior imho. Given Hitlers circumstances, anyone would have been a Hitler. There is a great book about such possibility called The Lucifer Effect by Phil Zimbardo who conducted the famous Stamford experiment.

Millions of people systematically killed and no one responsible? What were they doing? They followed all the orders of Hitler who heard voices in his head giving him orders. Too comfortable.!No it's not like that, it's our decisions that direct the course of our lives.

Given Hitlers circumstances, anyone would have been other than Hitler and the experiment you cite has been disputed for being unscientific.

gomelgo in reply to Gioc

Yes I heard that as well about the experiment. Not sure where you got to the conclusion that I am saying no one is responsible though. The two things are not the same. Saying that anyone could have done what he did is not letting him off the hook contrary to what you might infer. Life is just not black and white like that. At least not in my experience.

I agree with you that today no one uses Aristotelian logic based on the dichotomy (black or white), but gradual scales tending towards infinity are used, but sooner or later white becomes grayer and then tends towards black, so the differences remain .

Here is an article from the Post on the subject (I apologize for the fact that it is in Italian):

Parkinson’s disease affects people in all walks of life. Another Man of evil was Chairman Mao. If you read this book of creative writing, you will not be offended.

Mao Zedong, the pre-eminent figure of the Chinese Communist revolution and the leader of his country since 1949, died on this day at the age of 82. While the announcement did not specify the cause of death, it was widely known that he had been suffering from Parkinson's disease.

Interesting.
