I don’t think I suggested that a miracle cure is round the corner! I wish!! I do believe that there are things we can do which help though.

Hi there. The book does not explore thoroughly the optimum level of B1

The book clearly states dose will vary and is person specific.

Does it give a maximum amount?

She answers that in the video. I think she said the max amount that some people will find they need is 4000mg.

Thank you for this. I think I will follow Dr C’s advice.

Thank you for posting this. I appreciated the video. Daphne did a great job in calmly laying out her answers to the interviewer.

I think (or thought) I have good hearing but couldn't understand most of his questions. That didn't seem to matter though because the answers let me know what the question was. The whole interview worked well!! Thank you so much!

PDWarrior puts "A 'MIRACLE CURE' is just around the corner!" as his /her tag line.

I watched and enjoyed the interview. Congratulations Daphne on such an important contribution.

Powerful video! Hopefully this is going to help many people. I've tried the B1 therapy myself and I took too high of a dose. I'm taking a break for now the plan on trying again in another week or so it'll lower dose. Thanks again for sharing

Excellent interview by Dr Daphne Bryan! Although she is not a medical doctor, she's obviously done a deep dive into the research. Her communications with the key figures in therapeutic thiamine makes this very timely and pertinent. Her communication techniques makes the delivery of the medical information and techniques very digestible to the masses. I sincerely hope her efforts move the needle on the amount of people using HDT

From what I read Dr Constantini used IM thiamine to treat his patients not oral. Regular thiamine HCL is very poorly absorbed in the gut that is one of the reasons I think people are taking the extremely high doses to compensate. I believe he was using 50 mg IM thiamine but not sure if it was weekly or a couple times a week eventually titrating down. One concern with injection is the vials may contain trace amounts of aluminum in it as a preservative but could build up over time if used repeatedly. Standard vial 200 mg in it so 4 doses. Also there is a rare chance of an anaphylactic allergic rx with IM or IV thiamine so should have an epi pen if you go this route with your Dr. Benfotiamine is another oral form that has better absorption and you can get it at 100 to 250 mg pills. I would suggest starting with IM if your Dr was willing to do it to get a loading dose and then switching to benfotiamine 100 mg oral a day and titrating up to the 250 mg tablet a day if needed and see if that helps. Avoid antacids and diuretics when you take it and also coffee and soda when you take it. Taking a B complex vitamin should be fine as was already suggested. Magnesium citrate has the best absorption. I have also read that Asia has a lower incidence of Parkinsons and there is some thought that may be due to the curcumin tumeric curry in their diet. I've read tumeric increases glutathione an important antioxidant and may be helpful as well. Tumeric pills usually are made combined with black pepper to increase absorption and may cause heartburn. It has anti-imflammatory benefits and can help with pain relief, but check with your Dr before taking these vitamin or herbs to make sure they don't interfere with any other meds you are on etc.
