While the pathophysiological changes that result in the symptoms of bradykinesia are poorly understood, an inflammatory component appears to be involved. Human umbilical cord-derived allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells have documented anti-inflammatory properties, which suggest these cells may be effective at treating Bradykinesia.

A bowl of blueberries has documented anti-inflammatory properties, but blueberries (like mesenchymal stem cell treatments) will be of no discernible benefit whatsoever to either Bradykinesia or PD.

Turmeric seems to work for inflammation issues - I stopped for a few weeeks and got much worse symptoms - back on it for good =JR

What type, from where and how much do you take?

I buy mine at "Turmeric Save" from Utah USA. They are caps, serving size 1200 mg. Make CERTAIN you get a product that is high percentage Curcumin, and it must have an ingredient to make the Curcumin bio-available - usually black pepper. I have tried various dosages but the most effective for me is one cap a day (instead of the 2 recommended). My wife takes 2 caps as that works for her.

It seems to mitigate inflammation related symptoms including that related to arthritic issues.

it seems like all the studies require that the person is taking levodopa and if that is the case my husband is never going to qualify for any of them - it is frustrating. This one is not near where we live but does that mean if they do more advanced clinical trials in the future will they always require that the person is taking levodopa?
