Butyrate , TUDCA or UDCA : trials for PD, ALS, ALZ - Slows ALS decline

Sodium phenylbutyrate is a pharmaceutical form of butyrate. Similar non pharma butyrate is available.

UDCA requires a prescription. TUDCA does not.

Here I will be culminating information on how these compounds and studies relate.

UP study for Parkinson’s using UDCA Why not TUDCA? Is it because when used alone, not in combo with the pharma form of butyrate as the other trials, UDCA must be used bc it is not OTC, it’s a pharma and can be marketed as such? And of course because then quality can be assured.
