Melatonin For Cancer

I have passingly mentioned the use of melatonin for cancer. Here is a new review of meta analysis' of melatonin in cancer treatment which showed that melatonin significantly increased one year survival time.

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/349...

Here is a quote from the review :

>>> ' Survival at one year (RR 1.90, 95% CI: 1.28 - 2.83, P < 0.005) significantly increased with cancer patients. ' <<<

How do oncologists not recommend melatonin to their patients?

It is well known by many. If you go to YouTube and search “melatonin and cancer” more talks than you can shake a stick at will come up.

Many by reputable Drs and scientists. Lol.

As a cancer survivor of 6 years I will continue to take my 10 mgs before bed ever night!

My favorite lecture on this subject is one by Dr. Frank Shallenberger that he gave to the IAOMT a few years ago. Super interesting.

I saw the interview with Dr. Shallenberger and I agree, it was interesting. Oncologists are the ones who would be suggesting it to their patients, but recently, in two of my friends who got cancer, neither of their oncologists ever mentioned melatonin as a consideration for either one. Thank you for your thoughts!

My oncologist never mentioned anything re melatonin to me either. She was the saddest looking human being I had ever come across. They are pretty much followers of the dogma that they are ‘supposed’ to give out. It’s just a hot mess. Don’t even get me started on the diet the hospitals dietitian wanted me to eat. Just wow. I hope your friends do well.

Well one is already dead and the other is on the decline. No mention of melatonin from either of their oncologists.

Speaking of diets for cancer avoiding Palmitic acid may be key.

And this is the thing that slightly bothers me about all the cancer raising foundations. They never mention preventional supplements such as melatonin or Vitamin D3

Despe,

I wrote about this study two months ago as the last reply post in the following thread :

It is a shame that they only used 10 mg in the study. There have been other studies showing efficacy of melatonin at even lower dosing, but Dr. Neel's results are even better at 1 mg/kg/bw /day and above dosing.

I didn't notice any mention of Dr. Neel in the article. How do you write an article like this and completely ignore the founder of the use of melatonin for Covid-19? They say that researchers started looking into using melatonin for Covid-19 in June 2020 :

>>> ' as early as June 2020, researchers suggested it might be an important adjunct to COVID-19 treatment. ' <<<

Dr. Neel and Dr. Reiter were already talking about melatonin for Covid-19 in March 2020 :

By April 2020, Dr. Neel was already successfully treating his Covid-19 patients and I was writing about it on this forum by then. Two years later with no traction, it seems a bit naive to think that melatonin will ever become a standard treatment for Covid-19. Money seems like one possible reason why.

I did get a chance to look at some of the comments. I have written about much of it on this forum. Melatonin is a smart molecule that has many many healthful functions in the human body and just being in the sun can be stronger near infrared therapy than some commercially available NIR devices, for increasing your melatonin levels without side effects.

I couldn't agree more, Art! You are always my source to go to for alternative medicine advice. If, knock on wood, I get COVID, I will definitely have melatonin, plus nebulized oxygen, the right supplements, etc. My last Vitamin D test result was above normal (110), and my doctor asked me to cut back on Vitamin D.
