does anyone struggle with bread? do any of you find that it sticks in the back of your throat with parkinsons? this is something you uncle struggles with? other foods seem to be ok.

I have to gave a glass of water handy when I eat dry foods like bread or crackers.
The speech therapist at the hospital says always point chin down towards chest when swallowing.
I went gluten-free about three years ago and it has made a huge difference in my symptoms and over-all well being. Once I got used to it (maybe a month) it was no big deal. If what you described was happening to me, I'd simply eliminate bread.
My husband was having dry mouth issues from snoring mostly. It was recommended that he get Biotene lozenges, toothpaste and mouthwash. Bought it all on Amazon. It has made a huge difference. Maybe it will help you too.
My husband had coughing fits often while eating. I was very concerned because it can cause aspiration pneumonia. It disappeared when he started on mannitol, along with other major and minor symptoms.
